Free McDonalds McCafe Coffee on Mondays

McDonalds Mc Cafe DrinksThe Coffee Wars just got hotter.  McDonald's latest anti-Starbucks promotion is Mocha Mondays. 

They're giving away either a 7 oz. Iced Mocha or an 8 oz. Hot Mocha each Monday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

The caffeinated promotion runs from July 13 through August 3 .

 "This is one of the largest sampling initiatives we've taken on as a company," said Neil Golden , chief marketing officer, McDonald's USA. "McCafe has already become an essential part of our customers' everyday routine, and now we are giving even more people an opportunity to enjoy a complimentary, fully-customizable McCafe Mocha morning, noon and night."

 In 2006, McDonald's introduced Premium Roast drip coffee and Iced Coffees to their menu.  They also began testing a full-line of espresso-based specialty coffees in select markets which ended in 2007.

Now, McDonald's offers customers nationwide high-quality, McCafe Coffees.  They are aiming straight at Starbucks and other coffee chains by offering a similar tasting coffee, at a lower price. 

Lattes, cappuccinos and mochas are available in three sizes: small (12 oz.); medium (16 oz.); and large (22 oz.). Iced lattes and mochas are available in medium (16 oz.).  The Mocha Monday promotional sizes are not available on other days of the week.

Prices for McCafe Coffees will vary by restaurant and region and can be paid for with cash, McDonald's Arch Cards or other forms of cashless payment options at the drive-thru or in restaurant.
